The Need for RTI Training

The re-authorization of IDEA (IDEIA-Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act) of 2004 has set the precedent for Response to Intervention (R. T. I.) Due to high standards for all mandated in No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and since the formerly used discrepancy model for determining learning disabilities can no longer be the only factor in determining students with a learning disability, schools and districts are searching for direction and structured ways for setting up an RTI model. A structured guide and training of key personnel are key in starting your district and school in the proper direction for establishing infrastructure and learning environments that better lead all students to greater success and accurate identification of disabilities.
